We’re Steve and Kara Sartain, the proud founders and owners of Golden Age, Concierge Services for Seniors. As long-time residents of Auburn, we’re thrilled to be celebrating our 30th anniversary in this wonderful community in July 2025. Auburn has not only been our home but also the place where we raised our two daughters, both of whom graduated from Auburn High School and went on to attend Auburn University. It’s also where we first met while pursuing our bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

Our professional backgrounds are quite different, but that’s exactly what makes our partnership so effective. Kara brings 33 years of experience in education, including 13 years as a librarian/media specialist and technology coordinator. Her work has allowed her to troubleshoot a wide variety of technology issues while also teaching young children—something that requires a special kind of patience. On the other hand, Steve started his career as a design engineer, later transitioning into the Information Technology world. After leaving corporate America 22 years ago, he decided to pursue his passion for problem-solving by starting his own business.

When we decided to form Golden Age, Concierge Services for Seniors, we combined our unique skills and experiences, creating a company that is dedicated to helping people in Auburn and beyond with a range of personalized services. Our love for the community is also reflected in the fact that both of our aging parents chose to retire here, moving from Nashville and Birmingham, respectively.

Auburn is a draw for many retirees due to its welcoming atmosphere, warm climate, excellent healthcare, proximity to Atlanta’s international airport, and easy access to the Gulf Coast. We’re proud to be part of such a vibrant and supportive community, and we’re committed to serving it through Golden Age, Concierge Services for Seniors.
